Maroon Pass is an independent, SEC-registered investment adviser focused primarily in venture capital. We serve sophisticated individual and institutional investors who want unique, institutional-quality access to venture — without the effort of attempting to build it in-house.
In essence, we function as an outsourced CIO for the venture capital sleeve of an investor's portfolio: sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring fund investments with an institutional-grade back-end process. Trusted, long-term relationships within VC to both established and emerging managers is foundational to everything we do. We are based in Austin, Texas, but embedded in the most dynamic technology ecosystems across the country.
We also partner closely with independent registered investment advisers who recognize venture capital as an increasingly demanded allocation among their clients — but who lack the dedicated manager relationships, due diligence infrastructure, and fund access to execute on it responsibly. For these advisers, Maroon Pass serves as a trusted extension of their practice.
Our Team
The firm's partners bring decades of combined experience and relationships across venture capital, private equity, management consulting, and corporate strategy. Prior to founding Maroon Pass, the leadership team held senior roles at organizations including Bain & Company and Fortune 500 companies — advising institutional investors, PE firms, and public-company executives on capital allocation, organizational strategy, and growth.
